There’s a humble family who lives on a farm. The family lost their mom when the youngest child was still a baby. Their home wasn’t as happy as before and father became very sad and silent. One day, father decided to look for another wife and a mother to his kids. He made an advertisement in the newspaper and a woman responded. The woman described herself as plain and tall. She lives in Maine, near the sea and has a brother who is a fisherman. Her brother is getting married and she felt a need of having her own family. The woman went to the family’s house. She brought happiness to each member of the family. She was caring and warm to the kids. She was interested in the things around the farm. The family has finally found a new wife and mother.

UNCLE JED’S BARBERSHOP
Sarah Jean admires her uncle Jed very much. Uncle Jed is a barber and he often tells her his dream of having a barbershop. Uncle Jed’s dream seems to be odd. Most people make a living on a farm but he is different. He dreams of having his barbershop.
When Sarah was five, she needed an operation. Her parents could not afford it and asked Uncle Jed’s help. Without hesitation, he gave the needed amount. For him, it’s better to sacrifice for some years than losing his niece.
After a time, Uncle Jed bought a land and was able to build a shop. Yet, he doesn’t have enough equipment. Unfortunately, another unexpected thing happened. He lost his $3000 due to bank failing. He started saving all over again. He cut his customer’s hair even if they couldn’t pay him in cash.
When he was 79 years old, he opened his long-time dream barbershop. People came from all over the country to have their hair cut. Sarah Jean had her hair cut, too.
Uncle Jed died not long after that but he died a happy man. He didn’t give up on his dream and that was what his niece learned from him- TO DREAM.
