Bear wanted to learn how to fly, so he asked Little Bird to teach him. Little Bird agreed on the condition that Bear will teach him how to become big. Bear agreed. The two found out, however, that Little Bird can’t become big and Bear can’t fly, but they were able to come up with good alternatives: Bear carved a picture of Little Bird on a small pumpkin and they both watched it grow bigger as the pumpkin grew; and Little Bird taught Bear how to make and fly a kite that has Bear’s picture on it.

DAYS WITH FROG AND TOAD by Arnold Lobel
There was once a lazy toad. He was too lazy to clean his house, fix his clothes, do his dishes. He always said that he’ll do everything tomorrow. Then, he realized that if he’ll do everything tomorrow. The next story is about Frog and toad flying a kite. Toad was the one running, jumping and waving until he almost gave up. The toad suggested to have more tries. Toad shouted and the kite went way up high. The third story is about Frig and the old dark frog. When he was young, he was in the woods with his parents. They got lost so they looked for the way and frog was left behind. He saw the old dark frog who ate frog’s children. He out-smarted the old dark frog. He ran away with his parents. The story gave Toad and frog shivers.
