BRINGING THE RAIN TO KAPITI PLAIN

This is a poem about one plain which long ago was so dry, brown and dead; all the plants and animals needed the rain. The black cloud shadowed the ground every creature is longing for the rain to drop. One day an eagle passed by and it dropped one of its father. Ki-pat saw it and he made an arrow out of it. He then used it to shot the clouds, followed by a thunder and a rain.
