It was late at night when the lead character who was a little girl and his father left their house into the deep forest. She waited so much for this moment. On their way to the forest, they could only hear the sound of a train and later on, the barking of the dog mixed up with the train sound. And there on the snow, were the footprints of the girl and his father.
At first, nobody ever dared to speak up because both of them know that when they go owling, they should be very quiet. They reached a clearing in the forest and her father looked up in the sky as the moonlight reflected on his face. His father tried to shout, “whoo-whoo” but there was no owl at sight. Her father shrugged his shoulders and so did she but she was not disappointed at all.
They stayed a little more in the clearing. Then her father brought out a flashlight and there on the light’s direction was on owl that landed on the branch of a tree. They stared back at each other. After some time, the owl flew away.
It was only after that, that the girl removed her scarf from her mouth and tried to breathe out a sigh of relief. Then she and her father found their way back home after their owling activity.
